Fiorina's Lucent legacy (poor strategy, worse implementation, and massive job cuts), all pointed to her capabilities.
She did no different for HP and will not be remembered fondly by many. The vanity acquisition of Compaq and promotion of certain ex-Compaq managers, who were all instrumental in the failiure of the Compaq business and subsequent purchase by HP, all pointed to ineptitude by Fiorina.
The strategy she has pushed the company into is untenable but very few dared say anything. I am glad some execs took it on themselves to oust her. Shame it didn't happen 3 years ago.
HP need to return to it's traditional and core values where it used to occupy a unique and respected position in the industry.
