Very much agree with Sandeep on western journalism and pre-judiced attitudes towards India and other asian countries. India has and will be a source of knowledge and innovation as was the case before imperialism temporarily destroyed the confidence and self-respect of the people labelled them as inferior. But Indians have proven that knowledge is always the winner and the key to development. Western countries esp. the media always tend to bring out and project the worst that happens there. A typical example is why movies such as "lagaan" become oscar nominees whereas I as an Indian know for a fact that much better movies have been made in Indian cinema. Maybe this is not the forum to criticise western prejudices but awareness has to start somewhere. I appreciate this article and would encourage silicon to continue to do the right thing in the future.
