If things continue the way they are now for IT in a lot of Western countries (which I live in) I would not recommend my daughter get in to IT/Computer Science. The commoditization of the work and the people who do it has made things worse along with all the offshoring. Twenty years ago IT/CS was the way to go and looked like you could make a full career out of it. Not now.
