Good tips, but what about those who, like me, work at home without any base office to be away from? *All* of my interaction with colleagues and clients is by phone or email. My home office is the main store for all business data so I have no replication or transfer issues. My boss trusts me to put in enough hours, but it's up to me when I work.

My tip: Don't be a slave to the clock. I take time out in the day to do home chores and spend time in the evenings 'at work'. As long as you keep the job covered you can benefit from flexibility.
