Being a techie is not just about programming! There are many many more functions that need to get carried out and women are just as competent at all of them as men.

In fact the gender mix is very helpful especially when there is any liaison involved with the customers and it is necessary to empathise with the varied cross section of people.

Where I have worked there is often broadly speaking a 50:50 split, with equal opportunities for all.
