Companies 'Hire and Fire, and keep them techies down' approach from 'Management' means that any student who considered their future would avoid technical qualifications that would lead them to only be considered as 'shop-floor workers' and opt for the arts, and social management type educational paths, aiming for a career as part of the management.
remembering that techies work under junior managers, and managers get paid more than the staff they manage.
Additionally, if there are any performance bonus's - the managers get first/biggest/only bite, for managing their staff on the lowest budget.
In short, I reccomended all my younger relations to avoid courses dealing with IS, and/or the use of their hands. It's Business and personal management that gets you the money and status
And whats the effect of £1,00 for 4 years on an 'Student loan' debt of £16,000 followed by a salary difference of 30% on £30,000 up.
In fact, can I have some of those student loan rates, cos I can do with the extra from investing some capital at rates better than they get charged
