I'm sad to see "education" as a "business opportunity":
I'm very much in two minds about this: Just like I hate to see "health" denied to people who cannot afford to buy it; I dislike the high prices charged for information and learning.
At present, there are good resources available for free on the web - at least for "English" speakers.
Some of these are provided by kindly people, others are funded via marketing budgets.
It's noticeable that few are based in the UK: Perhaps decades of cuts in education budgets and the pressure to generate revenue prevent our UK "experts" from providing their expertise?
Sadly, this may mean that the opinions of many learners around the world are formed by contact with - non UK - information sources.
Web education and information could be provided at a very low cost to learners around the world:
I'd much rather see my UK taxes spent on this than on many other things.
