"Despite a well-documented domestic IT skills shortage"

- b*llocks, there is no IT skills shortage, well documented or otherwise

there is however rampant ageism, sexism, sexual preferenceism, creedism, racism and disablementism which serve to force, otherwise well qualified and eager to work people with the requisite skills, to look for work elsewhere

so stop using recruitment consultants who still have teenage acne and think anyone over 30 is practically dead, start valuing experience, stop staring at the female candidates chest area to measure their IQ, be colour blind, stop being homophobic, wheelchairs and guide dogs aren't a sign of diminished intelligence and just because someone follows a different religion doesn't mean they can't do the job

then and only then talk to me about a skills shortage
