Under 30 candidates shortage - just like Karen says. Unfortunately if you look at ICT teaching in schools and universities you will discover the source of the 'skills shortage' - its getting to the point where nobody under 30 will be able to explain 2's complement addition let alone be able to write robust software.
So YES there is a skills shortage in the under 30s and it is going to get much worse if the government don't change the ridiculous Key Stage 3 mandates, the dilution of GCSE grades and the awarding of degrees for work that is quite puerile.
