There is an underlying malevolence to this vision of the future. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur or possesses the ability to carry it off successfully. Some people will simply be left behind to flounder in the mire of their own discontent, cursing their bad luck. Ditching non-essential staff and outsourcing their tasks will undoubtedly lead to multiple agencies willing to provide these specialised services - The agencies will almost become clones of the former employers, oh, with the exception of staff benefits which will be absent of course.
JP Rangwaswami is a profound thinker but I'm afraid this vision is a 'from the top' perspective and only would only work well for qualified professionals and skilled tradesmen......maybe he should get out more?
