Science and engineering faculties in UK universities quite naturally generate new technologies and inovations as solutions to technical problems encountered in research. I'm not saying that inovation is easy. It's not , but it is not something that can be turned on and off like a tap. The problem is not a lack of ideas. The real problem is that inovation in this country is generally regarded as too risky to invest in by those with the cash. The best ideas are often ignored only to be snapped up by US investors.
UK governments must give more incentives to UK companies to invest in exploiting inovations, ideas and new technologies.
