Laura Overton has been appointed as e-Skills' UK e-learning champion.
Overton will work to create a plan designed to drive adoption and awareness of e-learning in the country, to be designed in partnership with public sector bodies the Department for Education and Skills, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (Becta).
The plan is intended to encourage greater co-operation between industry bodies and workers, as well as make promoting the importance of keeping users engaged and motivated with computerised learning.
Overton has previously worked as part of the Distributed and Electronic Learning Group, part of the LSC.
