World's richest man shows no signs of surrendering his crown...

Microsoft founder Bill Gates is still the richest man in the world after topping the latest Forbes' rich list.
Gates fortune is valued at around $41bn - although this in itself shows that even the Microsoft boss has succumbed to the global slowdown in the economy. His massive fortune is down $10bn from last year's figure.
Second place in the influential list went to serial investor Warren Buffett, with a respectable $30.5bn - down almost $5bn on last year's figure.
The plight of the top two was reflected by almost half the names on the Forbes' list who saw their wealth shrink over the past 12 months.
However, proving that nothing can be taken for granted in the current climate, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, managed to buck the dot-com boom and bust trend of many of his peers to register an increase in wealth on the index. Pierre Omidyar the eBay billionaire also managed to increase his wealth from within the dot-com sector.
