Amazon.com faces trademark wrangle

Amazon.com is being sued for trademark infringement by a US company called Amazon Bookstore.

Amazon Bookstore attorney, Mathias Samuel, said his client's identity is being overwhelmed by a blitz of advertising for Amazon.com. He claimed Amazon.com knowingly infringed the copyright of the smaller, Minnesota-based company, which has been in business for 30 years.

Samuel said he will seek to cancel Amazon.com's federal trademark registration.
