Microsoft has formed an alliance with Superior Consultant Holdings to provide services to the healthcare industry. Superior and Microsoft plan to work with clients and software vendors to provide ecommerce, data warehousing, ERP (enterprise resource planning) and enterprise infrastructures all based on Microsoft platforms.
The alliance also plans to train and certify more than 500 consultants and open four client Solution Centres in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Richard Helppie, chairman and CEO of Superior, said the project will help healthcare organisations reduce expenses and improve clinical quality and customer service.
The alliance will use Microsoft products such as Windows 2000, Windows 98, SQL Server, Office, Exchange and Internet Explorer as standard platforms.
