US healthcare software supplier, AremisSoft has announced contract wins totalling $1.1m to supply software to UK health authorities.
The business has been generated by a NHS directive requiring all local authorities to link general practices to the nationwide NHSNet network within two years.
Bedfordshire, Bolton, North Nottingham and Wigan and health authorities have all ordered AremisSoft systems in a bid to keep in step with the directive.
AremisSoft president, Roys Poyiadjis, welcomed the deals and said the NHS initiative couldn't have come at a better time for the company. AremisSoft has just received NHS accreditation for two of its healthcare systems - Genisyst 4 NT and Global Clinical System V2 - which it will use in the latest contracts.
