US internet tax ban upheld

Five more years of cheap CDs...

A US House of Representatives panel has voted to keep the net tax free for another five years.

Any states hoping to get revenue from taxing internet access were also disappointed.

However, legislators in favour of collecting duty on ecommerce are determined to get the decision overturned when the matter is considered by the full committee this autumn.
