America's patent law is now stifling competition (and thus innovation). The new (successful) business model of our generation seems to be the litigation of patent infringements. Nice words for what normal people normally call scam.

I expect that if Europe follows the ridiculous patent law of the USA , then we can be very lucky for countries that don't bow to these stupid trademarks. Yes, countries like China where patent law is not what it is in the western world will be in short the innovation centers. This in turn will either trigger a trade war and a tech world split in half or the demise of this business model.

Given IBM's statement recently it looks like at least one world company big in Tech has seen the signs and is preparing to stay while other big companies shovel their own graves.
