£15 for 10p cost of plastic - that's piracy.

I admit I am old and not really interested in music, but I recently went to buy a CD as a present.

Now I know why there is so much complaining about piracy.

A major reason for people to go to the effort of downloading, and burning their own CD'd is the exorbitant retail price of CD's.

If the companies don't want 'illegal' downloading they need to adjust their prices in both the shops, and for legal downloads.

And - having heard the complaints that piracy is stifling/stiffing? new artists - how about a public breakdown of how much of the £15 CD price goes to which purpose.
