When is this old chestnut going to be put to bed once and for all?

Spam mail exists, the means of transport exists and all the time people believe there is profit to be made then spam will continue to exists, live with it, manage it at a local level do whatever is required but do not even try to legislate for something that cannot possibly be policed . The Internet cannot be stopped, cannot be owned by State or corporate and certainly cannot be managed, accept these points and either live with them or work round them

I suspect the biggest lobby for the control and management of spam are the carriers who see their bandwidth and resources eaten into without any income emanating from the traffic
