Some more weaselspeak from a government that lies as it breathes. Now that they've backed down on the benefits (albeit announced by a junior minister) when can we expect Mr Clarke to make that same announcement on national TV - after all, he was on there enough times assuring us that all our problems would be resolved by id cards (and by implication, anyone who opposed the idea of id cards was a supporter of terror)
