As one who does works in IT Audit and Security, I have heard every reason that SOX will not work or is simply a waste of skin. Guess what, we can make the exact same arguement for other laws, i.e rape, murder, robbery, assault, "car accidents", etc. The money spent is being questioned, in my experience, by the companies the SOX legislation was aimed at.
