I use an Apple all the time. I do pro Audio Engineering on it. Why would I want to plug a guitar into an Apple Laptop? When I record sound I use 3rd party A/D samplers with oodles of features and flexibility. There is no way that any method for plugging a guitar into a Mac could be a trade secret and I'm sure that there will be 'prior art' that would stop Apple from obtaining a patent. This is a silly spat generated by silly people who should be doing some useful work instead of making lawyers rich.
