i can see both sides the argument here.
the music companies are suing for loss of earnings to the artist (even though they dont get very much, i think it's 69p per song), it also stop the music companies getting the profits to give advances and funding to new bands to release new songs, or to use facilities to make new songs and albums.
however, i can see limewires P.O.V
i live in a town where the only places to stock music now are the three big supermarkets, and they dont have a wide variety.
most youngsters i know download music form limewire and other sources due to the fact they cannot afford to get the albums from amazon or anywhere.
most users of limewire that i know use it to get singles or certain songs that just arent available on albums, or just want one or two songs from them and not fork out for the whole album.
it's a never ending circle really, downlaoding is going to happen, but you still have to pay money to see the bands you like live, and unfortunately that is where the money is these days.
