I have extreme objection to paying a levy on hardware to cover infringements of copyright I will not make. If such a levy is in force it will be regarded as cover for wholesale copyright infringement. Logically having been forced to pay for something, you will want to have the goods you have paid for, so copyright infringement will become even more widespread than at present.
