Forty per cent of all sales - for motor and travel insurance - take place between 10:00am and 3:00pm, with most users logging on during lunchtime. Most business is done on Mondays, with Eagle Star typically recording a surge on the following day if the service has been mentioned in the financial sections of Sunday newspapers.
