Nationwide has chosen Siemens Nixdorf to supply it with 800 Primergy servers and an undisclosed number of PCs for all its retail branches and administration centres in the UK.
No value has been put on the deal, which will roll out in October.
Siemens is also helping the building society to move its bespoke software onto the Windows NT servers.
More details of the deal are expected to be announced later today.
