Almost every major finance software developer has made sure its products are fully euro compliant, according to the Business and Accounting Software Developers' Association (Basda).
Responding to European demand from user organisations, Basda conducted a survey of its members, which include 50 of the major accounting and finance software vendors. The results were very positive, showing that every vendor will have shipped euro compliant software by the end of 1998.
Basda is recommending that users implement their euro upgrade this year, in time for the first phase of the single currency in January 1999.
Basda has posted euro-compliance tests on its Web site, at http://www.basda.org.
