The Bank of Scotland (BoS) is to roll-out its Internet-based mortgage service to another three European countries.
The bank said the service, which was launched in the Netherlands in November, has over 6,500 registered users. However, it refused to name which countries it plans to expand to.
It said it will also expand the product offering to include deposit facilities in the next few months.
When the BoS launched the service it claimed to be Europe's first fully online mortgage operation; it now claims to have received almost 1,000 mortgage applications since November.
Willie Donald, the bank's director of European operations, said the success of the site had exceeded all expectations.
