IBM has launched Mindspan Solutions, a service for customers wanting to plan, create, and deploy e-learning solutions.

The service will offer planning and design services, content capabilities, technologies, and delivery capabilities. IBM defines e-learning as the delivery of learning content via all electronic media.

In a statement, IBM said Mindspan will draw on a resource pool of more than 3,400 experts and consultants and a development community across 15 countries.

In a separate statement, IBM is to provide training in Red Hat Linux following its decision to deploy the open source operating system on its Netfinity servers.
