The IT industry braved stormy weather to raise £4,600 for IT Relief and KIDS over the bank holiday.

The IT industry sailing regatta, held in the Solent Waters off Southampton, was sponsored by BT Syncordia and organised by Lymington-based Events UK.

The nine teams competing were from 3Com, BT Syncordia, Cisco, Elan Computing, Enterasys, Equip, Ericsson, Lucent and Siemens.

The money was raised through race entry fees and a charity auction.
