Security experts have identified a new strain of the Love Bug virus within Swiss bank, UBS, and two other US banks.
The virus, dubbed 'resume', runs a password stealing program called hcheck.exe once a host is infected.
UBS said it installed a virus filter which successfully prevented the virus from spreading beyond its European operations.
