Tivoli on a high after BA deal

Tivoli will secure BA's ebusiness solutions, encompassing web-based training, recruitment and e-procurement, for the next five years.

The deal, which will see BA adopt Tivoli's access control software SecureWay Policy Director, is welcome news for a company trying to establish itself as a key player in managing ebusiness.

Mike Collins, marketing manager for security at Tivoli, said: "The software will, for example, allow flight crews to bid for the most popular flights, through secure voice authenticated access from a wide range of locations."

He added: "The technology also includes biometrics such as thumb print and image-based authentication."
