HP has followed up its move to purchase Compaq with the acquisition of Dutch printing technology firm Indigo for around $630m.
HP is already a shareholder in Indigo, with a 13.4. per cent stake, but its move now will see it acquire all outstanding shares.
HP sees the deal as a foot in the door of the lucrative commercial printing market.
