Tibco profits halve

Business systems integrator Tibco has posted a 12 per cent increase in third quarter revenue but profits have almost halved.

Revenue for the quarter ending August 31 2001 was $75.2m, up from $67.2m in the same quarter last year.
Revenue for the first nine months of the year stands at $241m, a 49 per cent increase on last year.

Excluding non cash charges relating to stock based compensation, restructuring costs, and loss on equity investments, net income stood at $8.7m, or four cents a share.

Net income for the same period last year was $16.4m or seven cents a share.
