Britain's Forensic Science Service (FSS) is to use SAP software in an effort to streamline many of its core operations from case tracking to resource management.

SAP will supply and implement software for supply chain management, human resources and finance, at the FSS's six sites, with the first deployment targeted at scheduling casework more effectively.

The project is due to go live later this year, and will underpin the FSS's dealings with the criminal justice system throughout England and Wales.
