
Ooooh, shiny... it's the eMac

Apple has taken the wraps off the eMac - a computer designed exclusively for the education market.
The eMac is similar in shape to the old-school iMac except it sports a 17-inch screen and a smaller footprint.
The basic computer is powered by a 700MHz G4 processor, 128MB of RAM and a 40GB hard drive. The high-end model features a CD writer and a modem.
The eMac is only available for teachers and students. The entry-level model costs £729 (excl. VAT).
