Competition: Should Bill Gates shave it like Beckham?

We want your answers and we're offering prizes...

In the past couple of years the image of Bill Gates has been tarnished by the long-running antitrust case and negative media coverage - others just dislike him because he's filthy rich.

The decline of Gates' public image has been in stark contrast to the rising superstar status of international footballers - now even more elevated in the build up to this year's World Cup.

Which lead us to thinking: could Bill Gates improve the public's perception of him by adopting the image of a well known footballer? Would a Beckham mohican endear him to the English, whose loved captain can do no wrong.

silicon.com has given Bill Gates a number of famous hair-dos seen on footballers past and present and now we're offering you the chance to win a prize in return for telling us who he's modelled his locks on.

Click here to see the pics: http://www.silicon.com/a53570 and then email your answers to editorial@silicon.com. We will publish clues throughout the coming weeks should you find yourself struggling.

We will publish the answers and inform the winners once England have been knocked out of the competition.

We accept a number of the styles could be several people and will listen to your best suggestions. The winner will receive a silicon.com goodie bag - runners up will receive one of our excellent silicon.com mouse mats.

Enjoy - and here's hoping Mr Gates, for whom we all have the utmost professional respect, and his lawyers take this in the fun spirit with which it was intended.
