Indian software firms are making preparations to protect client's data in case war breaks out with Pakistan.
As the threat of a nuclear conflict escalates, firms are looking to outsource key personnel and accounts to locations outside the affected area.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest software services firm, which has 63 per cent of its employees based on locations around India, said it would move product management and customer support to its overseas locations. TCS has offices in 55 countries.
India's long term software export business could be seriously affected if the conflict does not abate, said India's National Association of Software and Services Companies.
TCS has already claimed potential customers are postponing visits because of the crisis.
Britain, the US and other Western countries are advising nationals to leave India as soon as possible.
