The three companies that have got through to the next round of the Beeb's £2bn IT services procurement fight have been announced – CSC, Accenture and Siemens.
Following a strategic review that predicted savings of between 20 per cent and 30 per cent if Auntie's technology services were outsourced, they were put out to tender and the BBC Technology unit put up for sale.

The overall contract winner is expected to be announced during the next few months. The sale of the technology unit is subject to the approval of the Secretary of State for culture, media and sport.
