Renault signs outsourcing deals worth €625m

Renault has awarded three key IT contracts totalling €625m over five years to Atos Origin, CSC and HP Services.

The auto giant will use Atos for applications management, paying the French service company to develop and maintain over 2,000 applications worldwide, relating to areas such as design, manufacturing, sales and marketing, and after-sales service. Its slice of the pie is worth €300m.

CSC will earn €175m will look after technical platforms, including hardware maintenance.

Meanwhile HP gets to support workstations and associated technology. This €150m contract covers fixed and mobile phones, faxes, photocopiers, LANs, PCs, servers and videoconferencing equipment as well as CAD workstations.

Analysts OvumHolway said that deals of this size remain rare in the French market.
