In a recent CIO Essentials article, eSure CIO Mark Fousham wrote: "Green is no longer off the CIO agenda and using technologies such as virtualisation and reducing environmental impact also makes clear business sense."
And a range of businesses have found virtualisation has brought down their bills too, including energy company E.ON, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borouch Council, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and assurance company Standard Life
But just as one solution comes along, another problem crops up with Sun Microsystems claiming social networking is pushing up server sales despite the increasing adoption of virtualisation technology.

Oxymoron or what!
