
Top tips for techie job applicants

Pay is a topic close to everyone's heart but techies are being warned to avoid bringing up the big salary question in interviews if they want to impress.
Graduates seeking a career in technology should instead focus on swotting up on the ins and outs of the company and the technology industry, according to an IT recruitment company.

Teresa Sperti, marketing manager at the recruitment company, said in a statement: "Our aim is to arm university leavers with the knowledge they need so that they can find the position that is right for them - and give themselves a good starting point on the IT career ladder."
The advice comes as the number of students applying to start postgraduate teacher training courses in IT this academic year continues to slide.
