Hilton Hotels has recruited a new CIO.
Robert Webb joins the hotel chain from Equifax where he headed up the financial services data and tech company's IT department, looking after systems strategy, enterprise planning and architecture, information security, technology infrastructure and outsourcing.
Prior to his five-year stint at Equifax, Webb was CIO of GE Commercial Finance, GE Global Consumer Finance and GE Energy Services and has also worked in consultancy for Andersen Consulting and EDS.
Webb will report to Paul Brown, Hilton president of global brands and commercial service and head up an IT estate that covers 130,000 staff and 3,300 hotels worldwide.
