Devine heads up Yell's tech function with responsibility for the development and deployment of Yell’s internal IT systems and the online tech used to support customer and product strategies, according to the company.

Previously, Devine has worked within the gambling industry. Most recently, he provided tech consultancy to Bwin, one of the largest listed online gambling companies globally, and before that, he held the position of CTO at Betfair, working with the company for five years.

John Condron, yell's group chief executive, said in a statement: "We're delighted to welcome Rorie to Yell. His appointment reflects the vital importance of technology for our growth plans."
