I'm amazed how little Video is used to avoid air travel. I don't mean videoconferencing with talking heads round a table and maybe a dreary powerpoint presentation; but using a handheld videocamera taken out into the plant, showroom, street or whatever to set the scene for a telephone discussion.
The other reason for too much travel is micromanagement of every tiny detail, ie. not letting people get on with the job.
This can also saved hundreds of overpaid heads back at corporate headquarters!
