In trying to come up with a consensus definition for Cloud Computing I ended up with:
"Cloud Computing is the realisation of Internet ('Cloud') based development and use of computer technology ('Computing') delivered by an ecosystem of providers."
The Internet is at the heart of Cloud Computing (which is a metaphor for it) and it is hard to imagine a cloud which does not at least consume Internet based services.
