Photos: Top 10 presents for a CIO this Christmas
Chief inspiration for IT heads...

Charity donation: Christmas is a time for giving so what better present for a CIO than making a donation to a tech-related charity?

Here's some inspiration...

Computer Aid International delivers high quality professionally refurbished computers for reuse in education, health and not-for-profit organisations in developing countries. The charity has shipped more than 130,000 PCs to more than 100 countries.

Another charity - Télécoms Sans Frontières - works to bring emergency telecommunications to disaster relief situations so refugees and other displaced people are able to keep in contact with friends and family.

Byte Night is the IT industry's annual sleep out in support of Action for Children. Each year hundreds of individuals and teams from the technology and IT industries spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children's work. The 2008 sleep out took place earlier this year but you can still make a donation to Action for Children and help the charity provide services for the UK's most vulnerable children.
