Those people already talking of a tech rebound this week will have fresh ammunition with which to arm their arguments, with more good news expected from the high-tech industry this week. Industry titans Microsoft, EDS and Amazon will be among the tech companies to report their quarterly results in the coming week and by and large the picture is a positive one. Here's a round-up of some of the highlights we can expect.

Tuesday: Amazon.com is expected to report a third-quarter profit of 10 cents per share.
Disk drive manufacturer Seagate is expected to report a first-quarter profit of 36 cents per share.

Wednesday: Software giant Computer Associates is expected to report a second-quarter profit of 14 cents per share.
