It seems many people find it hard to forget about work completely when they're on holiday.

The latest silicon.com poll, which asked how often people check their work email while vacationing, found more than a third of respondents (35 per cent) said they check their work emails at least once per day.

Even more worryingly for their families and partners, another seven per cent said they check their work emails hourly when they're meant to be relaxing.

But don't despair, not everyone is so wrapped up in work - just under half the respondents to the poll (46 per cent) said they don't check their emails at all when they're away from the office, while another 12 per cent restrict it to once per week.

It seems techies could well be suffering from email addiction whether they're on holiday or not: another recent silicon.com poll found the majority check their work email before 9am either on a PC or a mobile device.
